Saku Metall Subcontracting ranked among Estonia’s eight best factories
We are pleased to share that Saku Metall Allhanke Tehas was one of eight nominees in the Factory of the Year 2023 competition. Although we did not take home the award this time, we are proud to have been part of an event that celebrates excellence in manufacturing and industry.
The judges highlighted several important observations from their visits to the participating factories. Companies are placing increasing emphasis on process development and efficiency, including the adoption of digital technologies and automation. Employee wellbeing, the quality of the working environment and corporate sustainability, including efforts to reduce carbon footprints, were also recognised positively.
The judges also acknowledged the ambition of participating companies to enter new markets and strengthen their export activities. Digital developments were seen to have clear business value and, in some cases, enabled the creation of new business models. The factories had also implemented successful, distinctive and practical solutions well suited to their specific production environments.
Saku Metall Allhanke Tehas remains committed to continuously improving its manufacturing processes.
We would like to thank all the judges, as well as our colleagues and partners, for their continued support. Congratulations to the winners in each category: ETS NORD AS, ElectroAir and Estiko Packaging Solutions.
Together, we are building a stronger future for manufacturing in Estonia and beyond.
